Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Thom Yorke Lead 2020 Grammy Awards Nominations
The nominees for the 2020 Grammy Awards have been revealed.
Leading the pack with the most nominations is Lizzo, whose up for eight awards followed by Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X, each of whom received six nominations. Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, J. Cole, and Thom Yorke are also nominated for multiple Grammys.
Eilish is not only up for Best New Artist, but also Album the Year along with Lizzo, Grande, Bon Iver, Vampire Weekend, and Lana Del Rey.
Also nominated for Song and Record of the Year, Eilish is now the youngest nominee in Grammy history to receive nods in all four major categories. Meanwhile, Beyoncé added to her record-setting number of Grammy nominations, which now sits at 70.
As for Best Rock Album, Bring the Horizon, The Cranberries, Rival Sons, I Prevail, and Cage the Elephant are all nominated. Other notable nominees include Tool and The 1975 for Best Rock Song, Tool, Killswitch Engage, and Death Angel for Best Metal Performance, Nipsey Hussle and J. Cole for Best Rap Performance, and Tyler, The Creator and 21 Savage for Best Rap Album.
The 2020 Grammy Awards take place on Sunday, January 26th, 2020 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Alicia Keys will host and the broadcast will air live on CBS.
