AFI Tease Their 11th Studio Album
It seems AFI’s plans for 2021 include a new album. The band recently posted a teaser for their upcoming release on Twitter.
Though they didn’t reveal any details, they did say their next album is expected to be released this year. They also told fans to expect new songs “very soon.”
“With the end of a year that has been, at best, challenging for all, we have news that we hope may bring you some joy. Very soon, new songs shall be yours. Before the year’s end, our 11th album will follow. We could not be more happy with our latest work and hope you will feel the same. Thank you for joining us upon this next journey. We are thrilled to take it and honored to have you at our side” the band wrote on Twitter.
In addition, they posted a brief teaser showing what appears to be new artwork, followed by outlines of each member of the band. The clip ends with the caption “2021.” They also shared their new logo signaling the next era for the band.

The news comes as a welcome relief for fans who have been waiting two years for new AFI music. The band released their 10th studio album, AFI (The Blood Album) in 2017. Their last release was the 2018 EP The Missing Man.
Meanwhile, AFI frontman Davey Havok and guitarist Jade Puget released the new Blaqk Audio album, Beneath the Black Palms, in August 2020.
