Metallica, My Chemical Romance, Mastodon And More Announced For Aftershock 2021
Aftershock Festival has revealed its lineup for 2021.
Metallica, My Chemical Romance, Mastodon, and Limp Bizkit will headline the four-day festival. Other acts on the bill include The Offspring, Volbeat, Seether, Rise Against, Alien Weaponry, Machine Gun Kelly, Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Body Count, Parkway Drive, Testament, CONTRACULT Collective, L7, Suicidal Tendencies, Rancid and more.
Metallica and My Chemical Romance were set to headline this year’s festival. When the event was canceled it was revealed both bands would return for 2021.
“We can’t wait to play at Aftershock 2021 with our Bay Area brothers Metallica,” stated Rancid in a press release. “We first played with them on the Lollapalooza tour in 1996 along with the Ramones and later down the road we toured across South America together. It’s gonna be wild, see ya in the pit!”
The festival will take place October 7th through 10th at Discovery Park in Sacramento, California. Metallica will headline Friday and Sunday night playing unique sets on each night. My Chemical Romance will headline on Saturday, while Limp Bizkit headline the newly added Thursday lineup.
