Allie X Releases New Single ‘Is Anybody Out There?’
Allie X has released her new single “Is Anybody Out There?” taken from a forthcoming collection that “promises to showcase the full breadth of the prolific pop savant’s artistic evolution,” set to come out later this year.
“Every so often, I was drawn away from my computer, toward the piano. I was hearing these melodies and words that were totally out of place for ‘Girl With No Face’ – barely intelligible, as if a different person was writing them,” explains Allie X in a statement. “Last summer, between tours, I found myself creatively restless. So I gave myself a challenge: to sift through this fragmented three-year archive of voice memos and try to turn them into actual songs.”

“Is Anybody Out There?” follows Allie X’s third album, Girl With No Face, which received a deluxe release last year. Next year, she’ll play two sold-out shows at São Paulo’s Cine Joia.
