Anxiety Comes To Life In Petra Glynt’s New Music Video ‘Flavour Of The Week’

Montreal based art-pop artist Petra Glynt recently premiered the music video for her latest single “Flavour of the Week” with A. Side.

Directed by Mohammad Rezaei and Michelle Homonylo, the clip shows Glynt trapped in a stark white room that switches between darkness and light while a figure looms behind her.  The video mirrors the song’s themes of anxiety that social media can create and “the dissonance between virtual life and reality.”  “She is her worries, her concerns, her trauma — always there, sometimes large and in focus, other times in the background,” the directors told A. Side when asked about the video.

You can watch it below.

“Flavour of the Week” is taken from Petra Glynt’s latest album My Flag is a Burning Rag Love. Glynt is currently wrapping up her U.S. tour with The Blow on Friday (Dec. 7) with a performance at Chicago’s Empty Bottle.

Back in October, we had the pleasure of speaking with Glynt about her new album and first U.S. tour. Check out our interview and make sure to grab a copy of her new album here.
