Architects Drop New Single ‘Black Lungs:’ Listen

Architects have shared their new single, “Black Lungs,” from their upcoming album, For Those That Wish To Exist.

According to a press release, the song “calls for us to examine the role we are currently playing in the destruction of the world with barren landscapes, and foreshadowing of extinction.”

To match the song’s themes, the band also shared the single’s post-apocalyptic video directed by Jeb Hardwick. Watch the video below.

Speaking about the new album with Kerrang!, frontman Sam Carter said the record will examine “the biggest issues we face as a civilization. I have days where I feel motivated to help change things; I have days where I don’t feel mentally strong enough to face it.

Because it’s fucking depressing, continually fighting that fight when you feel like the people and the powers that be don’t care. You have to really take care of yourself through this shit, because if you are fighting the good fight, it can be really exhausting.”

Architects’ new album, For Those That Wish To Exist comes out February 26th via Epitaph. Pre-order the album here.
