Avenged Sevenfold Share Experimental New Song ‘We Love You’

Avenged Sevenfold offer another preview of their upcoming album with their new song “We Love You.”

The six-minute track finds the band at its most experimental. The song traverses various styles, jumping from prog-rock to hardcore to industrial before ending with a Western-inspired acoustic outro.

A press release says “the song depicts the forced feeling our society pushes us to consume, push, stretch and empty everything we can, resulting in possibly our own downfall if not halted. Avenged Sevenfold are masters at dynamic transitions over the course of one song, and this is no exception.”

The music video by artist Ryan McKinnon uses Unreal Engine to create a unique visual experience, which has been optimized for Oculus in VR and 360 on YouTube. The visualizer starts with beautiful nature scenes but then, “the pressure of society takes over and the world starts building at a crazy pace.”

“We Love You” follows previously released single “Nobody.”

The band will support the new record with various North American shows which start May 19th and run through October 15th. See all their dates here.
