Bad Religion Share Previously Unreleased Outtake ‘What Are We Standing For’

Bad Religion have shared their new song “What Are We Standing For,” an outtake from their 2019 album, Age of Unreason.

The song shows support to athletes and others who have taken a knee to protest police brutality and racism.

“In this time of tribal nationalism, dissent, as a form of political speech, is vital to democracy,” says co-songwriter and guitarist Brett Gurewitz.

Back in August, Bad Religion released their autobiography Do What You Want: The Story of Bad Religion. The book dives into the band’s ups and downs throughout their 40-year career. It also includes rare pictures and never-before-seen material from their archives.

Bad Religion planned to tour this year with Alkaline Trio, but were forced to cancel the trek due to the ongoing pandemic.
