Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Releases Johnny Thunders Cover
Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong has shared a new cover of Johnny Thunders’ “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory.”
The new song is accompanied by a music video featuring photos and footage from Armstrong’s side band The Longshot. The cover is part of a new series called No Fun Mondays, where the band will share a new cover song every week.
“Welcome to No Fun Mondays,” Armstrong wrote on Twitter. “Going to release a cover song every week until we’re let back out into the world. This week’s song: “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory” by Johnny Thunders.
