Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke Announces New LP ‘2042’

Kele Okereke, the singer of Bloc Party, has announced his new solo album 2042, out November 8th via his own KOLA Records and !K7.

Kele offers a taste of the upcoming album with the lead single “Jungle Bunny.”

Speaking about the song in a press release, Kele said,

“As a person of color living in the western world, it does not matter how much wealth one accumulates, race will follow you wherever you go. With ‘Jungle Bunny’ I wanted explore this idea: In a time of such rampant division and public racism, what is the responsibility of the black entertainer?”
