BROCKHAMPTON Share New Song ‘Buzzcut’ Featuring Danny Brown
BROCKHAMPTON returns with “Buzzcut” featuring Danny Brown, marking their first new song since 2019’s GINGER.
At the beginning of the year, the group dropped vague hints about their return. A few weeks ago, they release a cryptic teaser titled “Meet the Roadrunners” featuring previously unreleased music. They followed up with a pair of videos featuring RZA and Rick Rubin seemingly praising the group’s upcoming project.
“This particular album, the melding of it now, it’s like if someone thought it wasn’t cool… it’s cool now!” RZA said in his video. Rubin chimed in saying “The first three, though, you can’t change. The first three is unstoppable,” he stated. “It’s out of the box, crazy and unexpected… I was not expecting the way it started, and I think that’s really strong.”
Kevin Abstract later confirmed via his Instagram story that the teaser marks the start of BROCKHAMPTON’s new era, officially known as The Roadrunners. With the release of the new song, we can hope a new album isn’t too far behind.
