Creeper Announce New EP ‘American Noir,’ Share Lead Single ‘Midnight’

Creeper have announced their new EP, American Noir, out July 30th via Roadrunner Records.

The eight-track EP serves as an epilogue to Sex, Death, & the Infinite Void, which told the story of Roe, a fallen angel, and Annabelle, the one he falls in love with. The EP explores Annabelle’s grief after the death of Roe.

“This new EP is comprised of material we’d written over the course of the last album,” says frontman Will Gould. “Lavish and tragic, it tells the story of the days following the death of our protagonist Roe. Beginning with ‘Midnight’ you’ll find Hannah and I experimenting with our voices together like never before.”

Creeper also shared the EP’s lead single “Midnight,” which features Gould and keyboardist Hannah Greenwood sharing vocal duties. With its cinematic piano opening and intense ferocity, it further proves you never know what to expect when it comes to Creeper.

Listen to “Midnight” below.

American Noir will be released on digital and physical formats, including exclusive Annabelle and Roe designed vinyl and limited edition cassettes. Pre-orders can be found here.

Ahead of the EP’s release, Creeper will play a set for There Is a Light series on Twitch on July 25th at 3 PM ET. The band is also booked to play Reading and Leeds festivals ahead of their December UK. Find their tour dates here.
