Dave Grohl And His Daughter Team Up For Amy Winehouse Cover

For the fifth night of The Hanukkah Sessions, Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin teamed up with Grohl’s daughter Violet for a cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Take the Box.”

“Despite this song’s mention of a ‘Moschino bra you bought me last Christmas,’ it’s common knowledge that the amazing woman behind the song was actually Jewish. Gone far too soon…” Grohl wrote on social media.

Listen to the song below.

The Amy Winehouse cover is the fifth installment in this year’s Hanukkah Sessions. The two previously shared covers of Lisa Loeb’s “Stay (I Missed You),” the Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop,” Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana,” and Van Halen’s “Jump.”

Meanwhile, Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters recently announced their 2022 North American tour. Tickets go on sale today. See all the dates here.
