Hear Deftones’ ‘Teenager’ Remixed By The Cure’s Robert Smith

Deftones have shared a new version of  “Teenager” remixed by The Cure‘s Robert Smith taken from their upcoming album Black Stallion.

Smith transforms the song into a haunting, slow burning track that highlights frontman Chino Moreno’s ethereal vocals.

“It’s amazing to hear Robert rework one of our songs and sneak his voice in there,” Deftones frontman Chino Moreno told NME. “If you’d have told me that when I was 15-years-old, I would have lost my fucking mind and not believed a word you were saying. It was a dream.”

Black Stallion features remixes of every track from Deftones’ iconic 2000 album, White Pony. The album is part of the 20th anniversary deluxe reissue of White Pony. They previously released remixes of “Knife Prty” by Purity Ring and Mike Shinoda’s remake of “Passenger.”

White Pony x Black Stallion will be released on CD and digitally December 11th. Pre-order a copy here. A vinyl version will be released on April 16th.
