Hella Mega European Tour Dates Have Been Postponed
European dates for the Hella Mega Tour, featuring Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer, have been postponed. The band’s revealed on Twitter that “a number of shows” have been postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus. The band’s encourage fans to hold on to their tickets for next year.
An official statement from all three bands reads: “There’s nothing that makes our bands happier than playing shows, and maybe no other tour that we’ve all been this excited for, but due to the current health crisis, we’re having to postpone a number of our European shows. We’re just as disappointed as you are, but the safety of our fans, staff and touring crew is our top priority. We’re working hard to finalize dates for the rescheduled shows next summer, so hold on to those tickets.
Keep rocking…safely…at home, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer.”
The European leg was scheduled to start June 11th in Florence, Italy. The exact postponed dates have not yet been specified. So far, the North American leg of the Hella Mega Tour is still booked, but many are expecting it to be postponed in the next coming weeks.
