GENRE IS DEAD’s Releases Of The Week: Gorillaz, Hollywood Undead, Lily Allen and more!

Gorillaz featuring George Benson – Humility

Gorillaz ended last month amazingly by releasing their brand new track and video for “Humility”! Complete with chill and summery vibes, we follow 2-D rollerskating along the gorgeous sights of Venice Beach. Popping up in the video, playing his guitar is legend Jack Black and if you ask us the video is a perfect mix of animation and film! “Humility” will appear on The Now Now, which will be out later this month!

Hollywood Undead – Gotta Let Go

Another surprise this week: Hollywood Undead released their new single “Gotta Let Go”! It’s a bit different from what we are used to hear and see from the LA-based rap/rock-band but it’s spreading the summery vibes, like more tracks this week! Read more about the track and their upcoming tour right here!

Lily Allen – Lost My Mind

Lily Allen released her new track “Lost My Mind” earlier this week and what a groovy bop! Next week she will be releasing her brand new album No Shame, and this single is the fourth that was released from it. “Lost My Mind” is a lovely melodic pop-song that suits Lily Allen’s iconic voice. The catchy chorus will be stuck in your head after hearing it!

Weezer – Africa

Last December, a Twitter-account appeared, asking American rockband Weezer to cover the legendary ‘Africa’, from Toto. Earlier this week Weezer honored this request and gave the world their version of the track, and what a tune! It’s best to just listen to it, because it gave us chills! Toto guitarist Steve Lukather approves, since he shared his thoughts on the cover over Twitter. Incredible!

Maroon 5 featuring Cardi B- Girls Like You

Maroon 5 bring in a lot of beautiful and incredibly strong women in their new track “Girls Like You”. The video shows frontman and singer Adam Levine and a bunch of a-list celebrities in quite a cute and loving way, dancing and having a genuinely nice time! Some of the celebrities include Gal Gadot, Ellen DeGeneres, Millie Bobby Brown, Mary J Blige and loads more! Watch the video to see all of them and many more while enjoying the music!
