1. London Grammar – Truth Is a Beautiful Thing

I have been waiting for a new LG record for years and this did not disappoint. The album is a perfect combination of ambient melodies and beautiful, almost haunting vocals. It didn’t take more than one listen to completely fall in love with this album.

2. Enter Shikari – The Spark

Enter Shikari has been my favourite band for years now and it was kind of cool to see them go into a completely new direction with an album that’s more poppy and mellow at times. Luckily that didn’t effect the energy levels at their live shows!

3. Comeback Kid – Outsider

Because of this release, I was reminded of what an amazing band Comeback Kid are and how their music never fails to excite me.

4. Lorde – Melodrama

One of my favourite pop records of the year comes from Lorde. Melodrama is a really good album with so much diversity and it’s a release that’s been one of the highlights of the year for me.

5. Stick To Your Guns – True View

Another great hardcore album to have been released in 2017 to show that the saying ‘never change a winning team’ definitely applies to this genre. Energetic, exciting and relevant.
