Hear Gorillaz Join Forces With Octavian On New Track ‘Friday 13th’

Gorillaz and French-British rapper/singer Octavian team up on the new song “Friday 13th,” the fourth installment of the group’s Song Machine series.

Drummer Russell provides some background about the song saying “Every day starts in the dark, and ends in the dark, but in the middle there is light.” The song’s accompanying video, directed by Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett, was filmed during isolation. It features footage of Octavian rapping along with the heads of the Gorillaz members superimposed over psychedelic enhanced shots of speeding highways and tunnels.
