Green Day Announce First Book ‘Last Of The American Girls’

Green Day have announced their new book titled Last of the American Girls. Co-authored by the band and featuring illustrations by Frank Caruso, the full color-text comes out October 29th via Dey Street Books.

Named after their song “Last of the American Girls,” the book is “an inspiring homage and handbook for the rebellious everywoman who refuses to capitulate,” according to a statement from their publisher. So far, there are no further details about the book, but it’s being described as a celebration of “true rebel girls.”

Last year, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong revealed he’s been writing new songs for Green Day’s next album. No word on when we can expect to hear new music. The band’s latest studio album, Revolution Radio, dropped in 2016. Greatest hits compilation God’s Favorite Band followed in 2017.
