Hear Green Day Cover Blondie’s ‘Dreaming’
For the past few weeks, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has shared a collection of cover songs as part of the “No Fun Mondays” series. Now, the rest of the band joins him for a cover of Blondie’s “Dreaming.”
The accompanying video shows Armstrong’s dog, Lenny, dreaming of the joys of live music. The rest of the video is made up of footage from the band on the road, meeting fans, and playing sold-out arenas around the world.
“This video’s for all of you,” the band wrote in the YouTube description. “We can’t wait to see your faces when we’re back out in the world.”

Recently, Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy were forced to postpone the North American leg of the Hella Mega tour due to COVID-19. Shows will be rescheduled for 2021.
Meanwhile, Armstrong will appear on Good Morning America as part of their summer concert series on June 5th.
