Hear Bad Religion Tackle The Trump Era With ‘The Kids Are Alt-Right’

Bad Religion is back with their first new song of the Trump era. Today (June 20) the band released their new single “The Kids Are Alt-Right” taking a jab at political extremism. The accompanying animated video pokes fun at alt-right ideology and shows teens putting on KKK hoods and taking selfies, Donald Trump running after a shotgun on a string, and a man smashing a stack of books with a sledgehammer. Watch it below.

“The Kids Are Alt-Right” marks Bad Religion’s first new music since their 2013 album, True North. So far, there’s no word on whether this is from a new album. Speaking with Loudwire last year, singer Greg Graffin said “Another album is on the horizon. True North was such a good album that I don’t want to put out something that indicates we’re aging. [laughs] We do plan on getting another record out there, hopefully before our 40th anniversary [in 2020].”

Last year, Graffin released his third solo album, Millport. Bad Religion are on this year’s Riot Fest lineup. Also on the bill is Blink-182, Beck, Bullet For My Valentine, Elvis Costello, Jesus Lizard, and Liz Phair to name a few. Check out the entire lineup and get tickets here.
