Green Day Cancel Australian And New Zealand Dates

Green Day have canceled Australian and New Zealand Hella Mega tour dates.

The Hella Mega Tour in Australia and New Zealand was set to kick-off on November 8th. Due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, the bands have been forced to cancel the shows entirely.

Green Day along with Weezer and Fall Out Boy released the following statement:

“Australia and New Zealand, we’re beyond bummed to announce that the upcoming Hella Mega dates in November have been canceled. We kept trying to put this piece of the puzzle together, but unfortunately, it’s just not possible due to the uncertainty of the government COVID-19 travel restrictions, mass gathering and most importantly for the safety of our fans, crew and staff. Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.”

Currently, it’s unknown whether the shows will be rescheduled for 2021.

Meanwhile, the North American and European legs of Hella Mega have been rescheduled. Find those dates here.
