Issues Drop Surprise Single ‘Since I Lost You’ Ahead Of Final Gigs
Issues have surprise released their new single “Since I Lost You.”
The song, which marks their final output as a band, was written in 2020 around the time when they fired singer Tyler Carter after allegations of sexual assault and grooming emerged online. In Carter’s place, bassist/backing vocalist Skylar Acord takes over on lead vocals.
“Since I Love You” arrives before the band officially says goodbye with six headline shows this month. The song is “a love letter to their fans and ode to the last 12 years,” a press release states.

Back in November, Issues revealed that they would break up after playing a string of headline shows in January 2024. “We feel very strongly that the legacy we want to leave be a positive one,” they said of their last performances. “These shows are the final chapter in a long history of pushing the limits of composition, musicianship, and culture in every way we could.”
Issue’s farewell tour kicks off Friday, January 12th in Los Angeles. Those who can’t attend the last Issues shows will still be able to watch it happen. The band will livestream their final show in Atlanta via Veeps on January 28th. Buy tickets here.
