Janelle Monaé Announces Livestream Concert To Benefit Small Businesses

Tonight (April 30th) Janelle Monaé will headline a livestream concert to benefit small businesses.

The performance is the latest installment of Verizon’s “Pay It Forward Live” series which aims to help small businesses affected by COVID-19.

“Our local coffee shops, markets, book stores, nail salons and restaurants are the souls of our communities,” Monaé said in a statement. “We need to make sure we are surrounding all small businesses – especially black and LGBTQ owned – with support and love so that they can open their doors again one day soon.” Verizon will donate $10 each time viewers use #PayItForwardLive and tag their favorite small businesses to unlock up to $2.5 million to support Local Initiatives Support Corporation’s (LISC) small business COVID-19 relief efforts.

The concert starts 8:00 p.m. EDT and is streaming on Vezion’s social media channels, as well as on iHeartRadio and SiriusXM.

Last week’s concert was headline by Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas. Learn more about “Pay It Forward Live” here.
