Kevin Abstract Announces New Album ‘Blanket’

BROCKHAMPTON founder Kevin Abstract has announced his new album, Blanket, out November 3rd via Video Store/RCA Records. This marks his first solo LP since the band went on indefinite hiatus early last year.

Abstract teamed up with fellow BROCKHAMPTON member Romil Hemnani and multi-instrumentalist Jonah Abraham to record the album. Abstract reveals in a statement that many rock bands influenced the record.“I wanted to make, like, a Sunny Day Real Estate, Nirvana, Modest Mouse type of record,” he said. “But I wanted it to hit like a rap album.”

He also shared a video teaser of a song from the upcoming album called “Gum.” Listen to it below.
