Slipknot Postpone Knotfest Japan To 2022

Slipknot has announced that Knotfest Japan has been postponed yet again.

The band moved the Japan edition of the festival to January 10-11, 2021 after the 2020 edition was canceled due to the pandemic. Now, the festival has been pushed back to 2022.

Slipknot and Japanese promoter Hayashi International Promotion (H.I.P.) released the following statement:

“As a result of the ongoing situation with the coronavirus mandates in Japan and around the world, after thorough discussions with Knotfest organizers & Slipknot’s concern for the safety of the fans, artists, staff and everyone involved, we regretfully announce the postponement of Knotfest Japan 2020 scheduled for January 10th 2021 and January 11th 2021 at Makuhari Messe.

We understand a second postponement is difficult news. Slipknot, their management, and our entire staff sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this has caused the fans that have been looking forward to the event.”

Knotfest Japan 2022 Roadshow will now take place April 9th, 2022, while the festival occurs April 10th, 2022 at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 9-11. Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new dates. Refunds will be available starting December 2nd, 2020 through January 12, 2021.
