Lana Del Rey Shares Details About New Album
Lana Del Rey announced a release date of her upcoming album Lust For Life. This morning she tweeted: “July 21 fam”.
Four songs from the album are already out – the lead single “Love”, a collaboration with The Weeknd “Lust For Life” and most recent songs “Cherry” and “Coachella – Woodstock In My Mind”.
The album also includes a collaboration with Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks called “Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems”.
“She was amazing. She’s just everything you hope she’s gonna be. She’s so contemporary, and she knows all the new music that’s out weekly. She loved the track and she added so much to it,” said Lana Del Rey about working with Nicks.
Del Rey said that Lust For Life originated as a 50’s – 60’s influenced record, but during the process of writing lyrics, she became inspired by recent changes of political climate. “So because of that, the sound just got really updated, and I felt like it was more wanting to talk to the younger side of the audience that I have. I guess it’s a little more socially aware. It’s kind of a global feeling,” says Del Rey.
