M.I.A Shares First New Song In Four Years ‘OHMNI 202091’

M.I.A. returns with “OHMNI 202091,” her first new song in four years.

On Sunday (Mar. 22), the rapper posted the new song on her Patreon account, which she launched earlier this year. Though most of her posts, which consists mostly of behind-the-scenes footage, is locked behind a paywall, the new track is available for all fans to listen to right now.

“Free music to get you the fuck up outta bed!” she posted on Twitter. “Here’s the beginning. New M.I.A. M.I.A W2020 4 COV19.”

Back in 2018, M.I.A. released MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A., a documentary that looked at her life and career thus far. In the documentary, she revealed plans to step away from music due to constantly being censored. At the beginning of this year, Prince William honored her with the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for her “services to music.”
