Madonna Breaks Silence After Hospitalization

Madonna has offered her first update on her condition since being hospitalized last month due to a bacterial infection.

The Queen of Pop gave the update on social media to say she was currently recovering after her stay at the ICU and is working on “getting stronger.” She also gave an update on the upcoming tour.

“I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,” Madonna wrote. “My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour.”

“I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show,” she added. “I hate to disappoint anyone.” She also revealed plans to “reschedule the North American leg of the tour to being in October in Europe.”

So far no further details about the rescheduled dates has been revealed. Read her full statement below.

Madonna’s “Celebration Tour” is expected to start on October 14th in London. Check out all her dates here.
