Marmozets Unveil First New Single In Seven Years, ‘A Kiss From A Mother’
Marmozets are finally back! The band have released “A Kiss From A Mother,” their first new single in seven years. The band wrote the song after vocalist Becca Bottomley (née Macintyre) and guitarist Jack Bottomley became parents and got married after 2018’s Knowing What You Know Now album.
“The message of the song is to make sure you listen, rather than just shoot straight back,” explained Becca. “Probably everyone can relate to the idea of not letting some advice go in one ear and out the other, let it actually immerse in you. As for my voice, that’s just my spirit coming out! I’m not playing a character; I’m giving it all that I’ve got.”
The song is the first taste of their forthcoming third album, which was recorded, mixed, and mastered back in July. So far, no further details have been revealed. Watch the video below.
Additionally, Marmozets also announced their first headline shows since 2018. The tour kicks off on December 1st in Huddersfield and runs through January 31st in London. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 7th, at 9 AM local time. See all the dates below.
