Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda To Release New Song This Friday

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has announced a new collaborative single with iann dior and UPSAHL is coming this Friday (Feb. 19).

Shinoda teamed up with iann dior and UPSAHL for the new song “Happy Endings.” In addition to the song, the three will also hold a Twitch chat where fans can ask them questions. The trio will go live on February 19th at 10 AM PST.

Check out the artwork for the new single below.

“Happy Endings” follows Shinoda’s recent collaboration with Trivium’s Matt Heafy. The two will join forces for a new online collaboration, which sees Shinoda producing while Heafy provides the vocals the guitars.

“I got Matt’s blessing to get weird with the track too,” says Mike in a video announcing the awesome collab. “We’re not gonna just make a metal track. We’re not gonna make a Trivium track. If you wanted a Trivium track you could just get a Trivium track. You could go to Matt’s channel and get that. So I’m gonna take his vocal, and even his guitar, and chop them into little tiny bits and run them through a meat grinder and then we’re gonna make a track out of it. I don’t even know what we’re gonna make.”

“The track he sent is so… it’s, like, epic!” he continues. “It’s very, like, Matt standing on a mountaintop with a falcon on his wrist who flies away and collects the bones of enemy clans, enemy warriors.”
