Mike Shinoda Shares Anime Inspired ‘World’s On Fire’ Video

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda recently premiered the music video for his latest single “World’s On Fire” on Crunchyroll.

The clip, which he co-directed with Juan M. Urbina, is anime-inspired and follows a female protagonist who learns to control her powers.

Speaking about the video Shinoda said “My music and anime have had a long history crossing paths, from the fan videos edited over Linkin Park’s music, to our original video for ‘Breaking The Habit’. This new video for ‘World’s On Fire’ is a lighthearted video that focuses on a female protagonist as she learns to control her unique power.”

“I’ve never taken an animated project from beginning to end,” he continued. “This video, for ‘World’s On Fire’, seemed to arrive in my head with a full story, setting, and characters all at once, and I couldn’t ignore it.”

Watch it below.

Shinoda is currently wrapping up his 2019 and is scheduled to appear at the Wired Music Festival in Japan.
