PREMIERE: Stream Kat Holland’s New EP ‘Retrovision’

Jazz/pop songwriter Kat Holland gets personal on her new EP, Retrovision. Holland has teamed up with GENRE IS DEAD! to bring you an exclusive stream of EP, which you can check out below.

The four-track EP follows Holland’s life after college, a difficult period that found her alone and away from those closest in her life. Holland describes it as “one of the hardest and more life-changing experiences that I have ever had to go through.” Holland later used these hardships and the aftermath as inspiration for her latest EP.

Speaking about the release, she says “I submerged myself in what felt like a dream-world. The music that I created is probably one of the best things that came out of this heart-wrenching experience. What I went through not only changed me as a person, but it changed the entire course of my life. I was able to create something very special and meaningful to me through this experience.” She continues, “Something that involves not only past experiences that I was reminiscing on but future experiences that I fantasized about. All in all, yes, I went through a very difficult time in my life. But many people would say that is when the best music is created. I am grateful for the experiences I have had because it brought me to where I am now.”

In support of the new release, Holland has several shows booked for the spring and summer. Find all the dates here.

Retrovision comes out March 22nd. Pick up a copy here. Make sure to follow Holland on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.
