For the special performance of “1-800-273-8255,” Logic continued his ongoing partnership with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (Lifeline), which provides free and confidential emotional support and crisis counseling to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. Together, Logic and the Lifeline included fifty attempt survivors and loss survivors from the Los Angeles area in the performance wearing shirts stating “You Are Not Alone.” The real life stories, like those on stage, provided the inspiration for “1-800-273-8255,” which details a person on the verge of suicide and their conversation with a Lifeline counselor. The video tells a story of a young gay man struggling to find his identity, only to overcome and raise a loving family of his own. Throughout Logic’s career, countless fans have expressed that Logic’s music and message of peace, love and positivity has saved their lives.
