Queens Of The Stone Age Announce ‘Alive In The Catacombs’ Audio Release

Queens of the Stone Age have announced a companion audio album to their new concert film, Alive in the Catacombs. The album will hit streaming this Friday, June 13th, and will be released on limited-edition vinyl on August 22nd via Matador Records.

The limited-edition vinyl comes with a 24-page booklet of behind-the-scenes pictures taken by long-time collaborator Andreas Neumann. Each copy is pressed on one-sided vinyl and individually foil-stamped and numbered, limited to 5,000 copies.

The concert was recorded last summer and features the band performing in the infamous catacombs of Paris, where several million bodies were buried in the 1700s. The show marks the first time a band has ever performed there, granted by the city of Paris. The film and its accompanying documentary, Alive in Paris and Before, were released on the band’s website last week.

Queens of the Stone Age will kick off a series of North American shows tomorrow (June 10) in Boston. See all the dates here.
