Rob Zombie Announces Vinyl Series Featuring Classic Horror Movie Soundtracks

Rob Zombie has teamed up with Waxwork Records to curate a vinyl series of classic horror movie soundtracks.

“Rob Zombie Presents” will feature special vinyl pressings of soundtracks from classic horror movies, including several never-before-released scores that were personally selected by the rocker himself.

“I have always been a huge fan of movie soundtracks, so I jumped at the opportunity to work with Waxwork on this project,” says Zombie. “I can’t wait to release these albums. So many of these films are greatly underappreciated and they all contain such great music. So to be able to release these deluxe packages is a dream come true.”

So far, the line up of soundtracks include Spider Baby, Carnival Of Souls, The Last Man On Earth, The House On Haunted Hill, Island Of Lost Souls and White Zombie, the 1932 Bela Lugosi film that Zombie took for his former band’s name.

Records will be pressed on colored vinyl and come with special packaging featuring new artwork by illustrator Graham Humphreys. They’ll also include liner notes and exclusive interviews with filmmakers and actors conducted by Zombie.

The soundtrack to be released in the series will be White Zombie (who didn’t see that coming), which is getting its first-ever vinyl release. Grab it here.
