Royal Blood Release Fan Favorite Single ‘Boilermaker’
After making its live debut in 2019, Royal Blood have finally shared the official studio version of fan-favorite “Boilermaker.”
Produced by Queens of the Stone Age‘s Josh Homme, the song made its live debut during the band’s summer 2019 tour, which includes sets at Reading and Leeds festivals in the U.K. With a swaggering riff that’s distinctly Josh Homme, the song has a dirty groove that will immediately get stuck in your head.
Talking about the song, Mike Kerr says “I had ‘Boilermaker’ up my sleeve and it felt like a very natural decision to go and cut that track at his studio. Josh is such a strong-willed character. He gave us such confidence in ourselves.”
The visually striking video directed by Liam Lynch features a tattooed figure emerging from the ground and multiplying to create his own army as he marches to the song’s beat.

“Boilermaker” follows previously released singles “Limbo,” “Typhoons,” and “Trouble’s Coming.”
Royal Blood will release their long-awaited new album, Typhoons, on April 30th.
