Royal Blood To Perform Virtually At Roblox’s Bloxy Awards

Royal Blood are set to perform their first show of the year, albeit virtually. The band will perform at Roblox’s Bloxy Awards ceremony on March 27th.

The band will perform a three-song set and will premiere their new single “Limbo” as avatars during the ceremony, which kicks off at 7 PM GMT / noon PDT on the Roblox platform.

“We are thrilled to perform virtually in front of the Roblox community,” says Royal Blood. “This promises to be a real cosmic experience. Strap yourselves in – we look forward to seeing you there.”

“The creativity of the Roblox community powers the experiences on our platform, and the social connections players make while sharing these experiences are deeply enriched by music,” explains Jon Vlassopulos, Vice President and Global Head of Music for Roblox. “We’re thrilled to host Royal Blood as we celebrate the talent of our creators with the greater Roblox community in this immersive, out-of-this-world Metaverse experience.”

Ben Thatcher talked about the pandemic’s influence on Typhoons‘ new direction during our recent interview saying:

“I think you take anything into consideration with what’s going on. And we don’t know what we would come out with if this didn’t happen. Taking that all into perspective, it totally changed what we were doing and the course of this record for the better. I think we had more time to reflect on the songs. It was an unusual time for sure, but we’re more excited with what we came out with.”

Royal Blood will release their new album, Typhoons, April 30th.
