Bruno Mars And Anderson .Paak Share First Silk Sonic Single ‘Leave the Door Open’
Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have shared their first single as Silk Sonic, “Leave the Door Open.”
The song has all the makings of a 70s slow jam: silky smooth vocals, slinky lounge vibe, and an irresistible groove. The song’s accompanying video shows .Paak and Mars performing the song in a studio with a full band.

In addition to “Leave the Door Open”, Mars and .Paak have shared a special one-minute intro track featuring funk icon Bootsy Collins. According to a press release, Collins is responsible for giving Mars and .Paak the name Silk Sonic. Both tracks will be released on the duo’s upcoming debut album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, set for release later this year.
The album will mark Mars’ first release since 2016’s 24K Magic. Meanwhile, .Paak released his latest album, Ventura, in 2019.
