Smashing Pumpkins Announce Shiny And Oh So Bright Reunion Tour
The Smashing Pumpkins have finally confirmed their reunion. Three-fourths of the original lineup – Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin, are reuniting for a US tour. The Shiny and Oh So Bright tour will feature songs from the band’s first five albums: Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore, and Machina/The Machines of God.
Shows kick off July 12 in Glendale, AZ and wrap up September 7 in Nampa, ID. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 23. Check out all the dates along with the tour announcement video below.
Original bassist D’arcy Wretzky will not be joining the reunion. In a drawn out, public feud Wretzky has shared text messages from Corgan where he invites her to join the reunion and later rescinds the offer. She later sat down with Alternative Nation for a scathing, tell-all interview. Read it here.
