Members Of Soundgarden, Nirvana And Pearl Jam Form New Supergroup 3rd Secret

Soundgarden guitarist Kim Thayil, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and Soundgarden and Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron have teamed up to form the new supergroup 3Rd Secret.

The group, whose lineup is rounded out by Bubba Dupree, guitarist for D.C. hardcore outfit Void and alt-metal supergroup Hater, and vocalists Jennifer Johnson and Jillian Raye (Novoselic’s bandmate in Giants in the Trees), released their self-titled debut album on Monday, April 11th. The album was recorded and mixed by iconic grunge producer Jack Endino.

Cameron leaked news of the group’s formation over the weekend by sharing a photo of them performing a recent secret gig at Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture.
