Stormzy Shares New Music Video For ‘Crown’

Ahead of his Glastonbury headline performance, Stormzy has released a music video for his new single “Crown.” Directed by Charlie Sarsfield, the video features the rapper performing the song in the iconic London studio The Church Studio joined by choir LJ Singers. Watch it below.

“I’ve been struggling to find words to describe how much this song means to me, struggling to explain exactly why I felt the need to say what I’ve said on the record and can’t quite summarize the journey of emotions the song takes me on when I listen back to it,” Stormzy wrote on Instagram. “I’m very proud of myself for making this song and I can’t wait for you all to hear it tonight. Nothing but love and respect for my brother Jimmy Napes a world class phenomenal talent and MJ Cole the genius and legend — an honor and a pleasure to work with you both my brothers. We’ve created something very special and close to my heart.”

“Crown” is the second song from his upcoming second album, which is expected to be released later this year. So far, no other details have been released.

Stormzy will headline this year’s Glastonbury festival alongside The Cure, The Killers, Tame Impala, and Janelle Monae. The festival kicks off June 26th and lasts until June 30th.
