The Cure Release ‘Director’s Cut’ Footage From 30th Anniversary ‘Disintegration’ Concert:

Earlier this year, The Cure commemorated the 30th anniversary of their iconic album, Disintegration, by playing it in full during a five-night run at the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Now, footage from the “Director’s Cut” edition of their performance at Vivid LIVE Festival has been released.

Performances of “Plainsong,” “Pictures of You,” and “Disintegration” are now avaliable to watch. Check them out below.

The footage was filmed on May 30th by British filmmaker Nick Wickham. There’s no word on whether or not the full concert will get an official release, but frontman Robert Smith seems optimistic saying in a statement that it “can’t be too far away.”

Back in October, the Cure released 40 LIVE – CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY, a new box set featuring two concert films recorded as the band celebrated their 40th anniversary as a group in 2018.
