Trent Reznor Will Release A Cover Of John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’ Theme For Friday The 13th

Trent Reznor plans to celebrate Friday the 13th with a cover of one of horror’s most iconic themes. Reznor announced that he will release his version of John Carpenter’s Halloween theme tomorrow. Clocking at nearly eight minutes, Reznor recorded the track with Nine Inch Nails bandmate, Atticus Ross. Check out a sample here.

The cover comes from John Carpenter’s upcoming compilation album, Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998, which drops October 20 via Sacred Bones. Carpenter is also working on a new Halloween movie with David Gordon Green and Danny McBride.
