Weezer Announce New Album ‘OK Human’
Weezer has announced their new album, OK Human, out next week on January 29th.
OK Human appears to be the second in a pair of albums Weezer has been teasing since 2019 with the first being Van Weezer. The latter was supposed to come out last year but was postponed due to the pandemic. That album is now coming May 7th. The band also confirmed that OK Human‘s first single, “All My Favorite Songs,” will be released on Thursday, January 21st.
Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo previously described OK Human as “totally different” from Van Weezer. “It’s inspired by an album from 1970 called Nilsson Sings Newman,” he said. “It’s all piano-based, but it has a ton of orchestration. We just did the strings at Abbey Road. It’s just gorgeous melodies and extremely eccentric lyrics.”
