Gorillaz have announced new album, The Mountain, which arrives on March 20th, 2026. Stream lead single “The Happy Dictator” below.

The Mountain marks the band’s ninth album and their first on their new label, KONG. As usual, the record features numerous guest stars, including Black Thought of The Roots, Anoushka Shankar, IDLES, Johnny Marr, Jalen Ngonda, Asha Puthli, Omar Souleyman, Yasiin Bey, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, and Paul Simonon of The Clash, among them.

There are also posthumous contributions from the likes of Bobby Womack, Dave Jolicoeur (aka Trugoy the Dove of De La Soul), Proof, Dennis Hopper, Mark E Smith of The Fall, and Tony Allen.

A press release reveals that the band are hidden in Mumbai on fake passports after walking away from Hollywood life and now “immersed in the rhythms of mystical music-making, as they navigate the mountainous terrain of this thing called life.”

“As space dust we are here forever and that’s a mighty long time,” drummer Russel Hobbs explained in a press statement. “This is a musical meditation infused with light. A journey of the soul, with beats…”

The Devil Wears Prada unveil new song ‘So Low’

The Devil Wears Prada gives us another preview of their upcoming album, Flowers, with new track “So Low.”

“To me, ‘So Low’ is almost fighting the mundane, when everything feels flat or meaningless,” vocalist Mike Hranica says of the song. “You just want to set it all on fire and blow it up to get a reaction. It’s about chasing that rush, even if it leaves you feeling worse in the end. The song comes from that place of frustration, when you’re desperate to feel alive no matter the cost.”

Explaining the accompanying video, he says, “I love that we are able to capture Latin American cityscapes and habitation. It was a long time in the works to head back to places we hadn’t been in a long time, and I think it adds something extra to the aesthetic of ‘So Low.’ Visuals that we’ve never incorporated, different than what’s often seen stateside — all in all, it’s a nod to our loyal listeners across Mexico and South America.”

Watch the video below. Flowers is out November 14th via Solid State Records. Pre-order it here.
