The 69 Eyes share new video for ‘Death of Darkness’

The 69 Eyes have released the title track off their upcoming album Death of Darkness. They also shared the song’s accompanying video directed by Elias Ryynänen.

Speaking about the new song Jyrki 69 says “‘Death Of Darkness’ is about the love that leads us back into the light time and time again. It’s that simple. The song sounds like we wrote it 25 years ago, kind of melancholic gothic rock from 2001.”

Dave Grohl spends 16 hours helping feed homeless people in Los Angeles

Dave Grohl retains his title as the nicest guy in rock with his latest charitable act. Recently he spent about 16 hours smoking BBQ to help feed the homeless at the Hope of Valley rescue mission in Los Angeles.

TMZ reports that the Foo Fighters frontman spent 14 hours preparing a BBQ feast for 450 people in need and 50 staffers. Hope of the Valley CFO Rowan Vansleve shared a video about Grohl’s charitable gesture where the singer talked about being “all in” on the shelter’s 350-mile run between Las Vegas and Los Angeles to end homelessness. Vansleve commented, “He cooked BBQ for hundreds [of] people living in our shelters.”

The Glastonbury 2023 lineup is here! Though Duff McKagen hinted at it back in January, Guns N’ Roses have been officially announced as one of this year’s headliners alongside Arctic Monkeys, and Elton John.

Other acts on the bill include Måneskin, Lizzo, Royal Blood, Manic Street Preachers, Nova Twins, CHVRCHES, Rina Sawayama, and more. Many more acts still to be announced.

Metallica unveil new single, If Darkness Had A Son

Metallica have given us a third preview of their upcoming album 72 Seasons. Dubbed “If Darkness Had a Son” the song is accompanied by a video directed by Tim Saccenti. Similar to previously released singles “Screaming Suicide” and “Lux Æterna,” the new song is full of old-school, thrashy goodness.

The band announced the song on their website saying “We’re getting closer every day now to the release of 72 Seasons on April 14 and the M72 tour kick-off on April 27 in Amsterdam. We have a few more surprises in store for you, so stick with us here, on socials, and e-mail. Lots more to come!”

Foo Fighters circa 2022

Foo Fighters will play a brief run of headline arena shows this summer starting May 24th in Gilford, New Hampshire, and ending with their show in Pelham, Alabama on June 16th. These dates fall in between their previously announced festival appearances at Sonic Temple, Bonnaroo, Ottawa Bluesfest, and Sea.Hear.Now. Tickets for the new shows are on sale now.

Weezer recently announced their “Indie Rock Roadtrip” 30-date summer tour with Modest Mouse, Spoon, Future Islands, Joyce Manor, White Reaper, and Momma. Divided up into three legs, Weezer, Modest Mouse, and Momma will head out starting June 4th in Huntsville, Alabama. Then on June 23rd Future Islands and Joyce Manor will take over as support. Finally in August Spoon and White Reaper will close out summer shows. Get all the details here.

Bloodywood will hit the road in May with support from Vended and Wargasm. The “Rakshak Tour kicks off on May 2nd in Seattle, Washington, and wraps up on May 25th with their appearance at the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio. Tickets are on sale now.

Hip hop titans Nas and Wu-Tang Clan are teaming up for the return of the “NY State of Mind” tour this May. The tour kicks off May 9th in New Zealand and wraps up October 22nd in Highland, California. Tickets are on sale now.
