Dave Grohl to return to help feed more homeless people in Los Angeles
After helping feed 500 people at a Los Angeles homeless shelter, Dave Grohl has vowed to continue to do his part. Feed the Streets recently announced that the Foo Fighters frontman will volunteer at the non-profit to help them hit their monthly target of 3,500 meals.
“2023 has been off to a rocky start with the losses on 5th street. We’ve been trying to figure out ways to keep up with our activations and continue to put out 3,500 meals a month. It’s not an easy task, especially when several communities experiencing food insecurity rely on us for a decent meal five times a week,” the shelter explains in a video.
“On one of those wet and cold rainy days we received a text from none other than Dave Grohl (code name: Dolce & Gabana) – he said he heard about what we were doing and wanted to help out. We threw him into an upcoming activation. He spent 18 hours straight smoking brisket, ribs and pork – with a cooking crew. They stayed up all night and into the sunrise. The next day Dolce and his team, exhausted and sleep deprived – packed up the food and drove it to MacArthur Park.
“All they had to do was drop it off and leave, however they decided to stay and work the line – serve the BBQ with our crew until everyone at the park was fed. If that ain’t a hero we don’t know wtf is. Stay tuned, D & G will be back on the blocks to serve Yucca and Skid Row soon!”
The shelter hasn’t revealed when Grohl will be back, but chances are he’ll pop up pretty soon.

Hear Enter Shikari’s new single ‘Bloodshot’
Enter Shikari have shared “Bloodshot,” another new song from their upcoming album A Kiss for the Whole World.
“Every day, I seem to be asking myself, ‘Is this article biased?’, ‘Is this claim true?’, ‘Should I be more furious about this issue? Or less furious?’, ‘Am I being manipulated? Provoked? Radicalized by my own ‘tribe’?’
“Bloodshot is about how hard it is to find truth, and how easy it is to stop thinking for yourself and simply repeat your ‘team’s’ mantras,” he explains. “Everyone’s so fucking angry with everyone else and it’s exhausting. It seems like social media’s main purpose these days is to hypnotize us to hate.”
Check out the song below.
A Kiss for the Whole World drops April 21st. Pre-order it here.
