Slothrust Announce New EP ‘I Promise’

Live Review: Oliver Tree - O2 Kentish Town Forum, London 06/11/2022 — When The Horn Blows

Slothrust have announced their new EP, I Promise, set to arrive on October 20th. As a preview, the band have shared their cover of the Ginuwine classic “Pony.”

“When Slothrust covers other people’s songs, our goal is always to offer them through a different lens,” vocalist Leah Wellbaum tells Consequence about the cover. “We grew up listening to a lot of ’90s R&B, and ‘Pony’ was always one of our favorites. It’s so bold and fully commits to the metaphor while keeping it consensual and kinky. We love this level of commitment and wanted to match it by doing a heavy, guitar driven interpretation of this song through a queer lens.”

Twin Temple share new single “Be A Slut”

Twin Temple Announce New Album, Unveil "Burn Your Bible"

Twin Temple have shared their risque new single “Be A Slut.”

Taken from their forthcoming album, God Is Dead, the Satanic dup invites listeners to “Uncross your arms and open up your legs!”

“Be A Slut is a good old-fashioned pearl-clutching rock’n’roll song with a real horny sax solo and everything,” they say. “It’s obviously about how great it feels to be a slut. We hope it inspires you to dance, release the boring shackles of dated morality and most of all, have fun.

“Live, love, Lucifer!”
