Music for Relief is artists and their fans coming together to help people and the planet. Linkin Park founded Music for Relief in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Since inception in 2005 Music for Relief has responded to more than thirty natural disasters across four continents including Hurricanes Katrina and Sandy, a cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe, the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Japan’s Tohoku earthquake, Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines and most recently famine in the Horn of Africa.

Music for Relief’s Power the World program provides clean energy solutions for people without electricity, improving their health, safety, education, and livelihoods. The organization has also planted more than 1.3 million trees and initiated conservation projects in Mexico’s Baja peninsula and the U.S. gulf coast to protect the environment.
